This afternoon our Men’s Tennis team made Kenyon history. After a sensational battle against Emory University, the Lords now hold the #1 national ranking for the first time ever! The players commented on the victory:
“It definitely feels great but it’s also humbling knowing that we had the opportunity to beat Emory after losing in the finals last year.” –Michael Razumofsky ‘15
“It feels great to be number one but we still have a long ways to go until we get a national title in May which is our main goal.”-Wade Heerboth ’15
“Its huge! The win is a great start to our season, but it is just a start. There’s a lot of tennis still to be played this season, so hopefully we can keep it up and build from here.”-Paul Burgin ’13.
If you see any of these fine fellows on middle path or in the servery, be sure to congratulate them. Perhaps tennis isn’t your thing, but next time, when you talk to someone whose never heard of our school you COULD say: “Our men’s tennis team is ranked #1 in the country…for D3.”
