If Disney Characters Went to Kenyon

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Kenyon chapter.

1. Belle

Major: English

Favorite Study Spot: The third floor of Olin

Belle can be found among the Folio shelves in library or frequenting the bookstore. She lives a quiet existence in a North Campus single, but finds herself dangerously attracted to a Rugby Player….

2. Peter Pan

Major: Undeclared

Year: Super Senior

In Peter’s ideal world, Senior Week would last forever and graduation day would never arrive. He enjoys large classes, where he can sit in the back, sleeping and doing minimal work.

3. The Caterpillar

Student Activities: Peeps o’ Kenyon

The Caterpillar is impossibly cool, and can often be found chillin’ outside Olin or Peirce on cold days, smoking cigarettes and giving freshmen advice. On the weekends, you’re guaranteed to see him tearing it up at Old Kenyon.

4. Sleeping Beauty

Kenyon Activities: Owl Creeks and probably a few more a cappella group

Most Likely Found: Wiggin’s Street Coffee in the mid-afternoon

Aurora wouldn’t be caught dead in an 8:10 class. She needs her beauty sleep before she hangs out with her latest hookup, a boy she met “once upon a dream”, which is what others refer to as Weaver on a Saturday night.

5. Pinocchio

Year: Freshman

Pinocchio just wants to be “a real boy.” Which often means bending to peer pressure and drinking more than he can handle.

6. Roger Radcliffe

Major: Music

Most Likely Found: Storer Hall, open mics

Student Activities: Kenyon Music Society, Knox County Symphony

Roger is a bit awkward, but when he picks up one of his many instruments, freshman girls tend to swoon.

7. Jane Porter

Major: Anthropology

Most Likely Found: Palme House

Student Activities: BFEC, PEAS

Jane may seem a bit uppity at first in her vintage dresses, but her vast knowledge of primates will soon make you realize that she’s actually very down to earth. Her favorite event of the year has to be the Anthropology Lamb Roast.

Reagan Neviska is a senior at Kenyon College where she studies Anthropology and Music. She is an active member of her coed Greek service organization, The Archon Society, as well as the president of Gospel Choir, a Her Campus Chapter Writer, and a member of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, where she plays percussion. Reagan's interests include reading, practicing and listening to music, playing with dogs (her family has four!) and watching Downton Abbey.  You can follow her on Twitter and Instagram @Reagaroni.
