Within every group of friends, everyone takes on a specific role. Have you ever wondered if you’re the “mom friend” in your group? Well, if you find yourself doing these few things for those in your life, you just might be the mom friend.

1. Cooking Meals

You find that when you’re cooking healthy meals, you’re not just cooking for yourself – you’re cooking for your friends who haven’t eaten a vegetable in weeks.

2. Reminders

You know their schedule better than them, and are constantly reminding them about what needs to be done.

3. Protective

Just like in the wild where the mama bear protects her cubs, you find yourself protecting your friends. This could be a boy breaking their heart or watching them do something that could actually get them hurt, either way, you are ready to fight for them.

4. You’re their doctor

“I think I’m dying. I’m cold and can’t get warm.” “You probably have a fever, get rest, and I’ll bring you soup.” I mean, you’re pretty much WebMD for them.

5. Support

Maybe they’re contemplating changing their major, or maybe they want to ask this boy out from their study group and don’t know if it’s a good idea or not. You’re there for them no matter what’s going through their mind (and always remember that if you can’t solve their problems, a bottle of wine sure can).

So to all of you “mom friends” out there, we thank you for keeping friends alive and in check. Who know’s what the group would do without you.
