Best Halloween Costumes for Best Friends

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at IUP chapter.

Halloween is just around the corner and if you’re anything like me— you probably don’t have a costume yet. My best Halloween costumes have been ones that I’ve done with my best friends. Here are the top 5 most unique and affordable Halloween costumes for you and your BFF!

Dancing Girls Emoji

All you have to do is get matching black leotards, giant black bows, and black dance shoes. Oh, and remember we’re in the whole “pics or it didn’t happen” social media age, so make sure to post a picture of you and your BFF “dancing” like the actual emoji.

Serena and Blair from Gossip Girl

Just your average school girl look—white button down with a black tie, black mini skirt, dressy shoes, some preppy head bands, and maybe even a pair knee high socks. Add some plaid and eyeliner and you’ll be good to go! Even if you and your BFF aren’t naturally blonde and brunette you can still pull off the look with a wig.

Piper and Alex from Orange is the New Black

All you’ll need are khaki colored scrubs and a DIY inmate ID tag. If you really want to get the essence of the characters, you could also use a screwdriver as a prop. But that’s only if the party you’re going to doesn’t consider screwdrivers to be weapons…

Starbucks Coffee

For this look, you will need are matching white lacey dresses (can easily be found at Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, American Eagle, etc.), Starbucks logos, a Starbucks lid and green straw “headband,” and two empty Starbucks containers. You’ll be able to create this costume faster than the Barista at Starbucks will even have your Venti Pumpkin Spice Latte ready.
