Emma Watson has shed the plaid skirts and Hogwarts blazers, showing us a completely new side of her on the May issue of British GQ. Yes, it may be a bit exaggerated, since she is shown as her role for her upcoming film, “The Bling Ring,” with fake hair and some drawn on tats. Still, she’s in there and she’s rockin’ it.
With this, we’ve decided to take you on a little trip down Lady Watson Lane.
Ah, Hermione. Emma circa 2002. When we all began to fall in love with the little wizardry student. We loved her for her wits, kindness and uniqueness. And really, who else could put up with two boys going through puberty in a school filled with magic.
Here we have Emma in 2006 at the Sony Ericsson Film Awards in London. Pretty in purple, we start to see a new teenage girl Miss Watson is becoming.
Beautiful and sophisticated, Emma dominated the red carpet at the 2010 Met Gala. For the first time we saw her as a young woman, and can I just say she is absolutely working that Burberry dress.
Following the 2010 Met Gala, Watson went for the pixie look and rocked it way harder than many people we could think of. If we ever decided we wanted to cut all our hair off, Emma would be the reason why.
And today. Beautiful and talented, we love everything Emma stands for. We can’t wait for “The Bling Ring” and everything she does in the future. Emma talked about her career in an early 2013 issue of Marie Claire, saying, “Now I feel a lot more settled in with who I am and what I think and how I want to do things. And because I feel good about what I’m doing, I don’t need anyone else to say whether they think it’s good or not.”
Keep on keepin’ on, girl.
