5 Minute College Breakfast: Banana Cereal

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Ithaca chapter.

Every morning I wake up and roll around my bed for about 20 minutes. And to be honest, the only thing that gets me out of bed is my craving for breakfast. No matter what day of the week, with the exception of a few special occasions, I eat what I like to call ‘banana cereal’. It’s both refreshing and fresh, and it prepares me for my day — no matter how long, short, calm or intense it may be. I cannot successfully get through the day without having something to eat. Maybe it’s because I love eating, but it’s mainly because I need something to fuel my body — we all do! No matter how cliché it sounds or how many times you’ve been told this, breakfast truly is the most important meal of the day. Here’s what you need to make this simply delicious breakfast:

  1. A banana
  2. Cinnamon-Sugar
  3. Milk
  4. A bowl
  5. A spoon

What next?

Cut the banana up into thin slices. Put the banana in the bowl, pour milk, and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar on top. Last thing to do is grab a spoon and eat! And guess what? Prep time is under five minutes, so feel free to hit the snooze button a few times!
