How To: Apple Pie Shots

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Illinois State chapter.

Happy October, HCers! In the mood for some fall? Well, our suggestion … apple pie shots. With homecoming and tailgating this weekend, these shots do the trick. This is every college student’s favorite part of the fall – well it’s mine at least. They are so simple to make and taste AH-MAZ-ING.

Supplies:

• 1 qt Everclear
• 1 gallon apple juice
• 1 gallon apple cider
• 7 cinnamon sticks
• 4 cups sugar

Step 1:
Pour apple juice, apple cider, sugar, and cinnamon sticks together into a large bowl

Step 2:
Boil until cinnamon sticks lose flavor

Step 3:
Add Everclear

Step 4:
Refrigerate and serve

Becoming a campus correspondent/editor-in-chief was a great accomplishment for her because she is an aspiring writer, hoping to take on the world of mass media after graduation in 2013.
