11 Things That Helped Me Survive Finals

This is a sponsored feature. All opinions are 100% from Her Campus.

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Illinois chapter.

December stands for a lot of things. Shorter days, colder weather and the holiday season are just a few. Unfortunately for collegiettes, December also marks one of the most stressful times of the semester: finals week.

But, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, our sweet month-long winter break. Thankfully, the Her Campus National team knows how hard this time can be. That’s why they sent us an amazing Finals Survival Kit to help us get through the long nights spent in the library. Read on to see the 11 things that helped me survive finals week below!

1. Cold-EEZE Cold Remedy Samples

I don’t know about you, but I always seem to get sick during the most inconvenient times at school, finals included. The Cold-EEZE® Cold Remedy Plus Natural Immune Support with Natural Energy QuickMelts® not only shortened the length of my cold, but gave me a natural energy boost to help me power through the week!

2. Chipotle BOGO Card and 3. Luna Chocolate Peppermint Stick Bars

One of the last things on your mind while studying is when you’re grabbing your next meal. That’s why number two and three on this list of finals’ essentials pertain to food. The Chipotle BOGO cards are an awesome way to catch up with friends over the week. Grab a card, meet a friend and split the cost of two meals for the price of one!

The Luna chocolate peppermint stick bars are a delicious snack that fit perfectly in your bag for a day of studying. The peppermint flavor is so festive and almost helps you forget the stress of finals while you’re snacking on one.

4. Cosabella Panties and 5. BaubleBar Bracelet

I’m a firm believer in the mantra “dress well, test well” and these goodies from Cosabella and BaubleBar help with just that. Leggings and yoga pants become a wardrobe staple during this time, and no-one wants to be “that girl” wearing the wrong kind of underwear with her pants. The Cosabella panties solve this problem and come in an array of cute colors.

A girl is never completely dressed without her accessories. I love the meme alphabet #nofilter bracelet from BaubleBar because it perfectly sums up how real things get during finals week.

6. TRESemmé Travel Sized Hairsprays and 7 Day Keratin Smooth Samples

Dressing well is only half of the battle! Fortunately, Tresemmé makes it easy to look put-together with minimal effort. The 7 Day Keratin Smooth samples are a breakthrough non-damaging smoothing system which works wonders when all you feel like doing is pulling out your hair in frustration! The travel sized hairspray also helped tame flyaways on the go and was so easy to throw in my bag for use throughout the course of a busy day.

7. Camelbak eddy

One of the most important things to remember during finals week is to stay hydrated, and that doesn’t mean pumping yourself full of caffeine. The Camelbak eddy is the perfect water bottle for the busy collegiette. Spill proof and durable, this makes your trip to the library a little easier.

8. chain & charcoal Gift Card and 9. Aritzia gift card

There’s nothing compared to a little retail therapy. chain & charcoal has a ton of cute jewelry including everything from statement necklaces to dainty rings. Aritzia also has a great selection of this season’s fashion. Both of the sites made holiday shopping for my friends a breeze, which was one less thing I had to worry about over the week.

10. Bayer/Timeline Project Zines

During the stress of finals, it’s nice to be reminded of the bigger picture. Passing a tough exam is proof enough that you can do anything you set your mind to! The Timeline Project is an online tool geared toward helping you establish your goals and making them happen. If that’s not finals’ inspiration, I don’t know what is.

11. Kettle Brand Hey Neighbor Kits

When finals are all said and done, the only thing on my mind is celebrating with my friends. Filled with chips and other snacks, the Hey Neighbor Kits make it easy to kick back with friends and snack over a well-deserved Netflix binge. They’re great for sharing and spreading the post-finals love!

Thanks to all of the incredible sponsors of our Finals Survival Kits! You can see find out more about what was included in the kit on Instagram by searching the hashtag #HCSurvivalKits.
