Why Last Semester Seniors Should Cherish High School

Why Last Semester Seniors Should Cherish High School

You’re in your last semester of high school ever. You’re excited, nervous, or maybe just so overwhelmed with senioritis that you can’t even function. I know you’re feeling so many different emotions right now, but don’t get wrapped up in all of the chaos that you forget to live in the moment. These last few months are crucial. It’ll be the final days of skipping lunch hour, making excuses to get out of P.E., or cramming to get your 2nd hour five-page paper done all in 1st hour. Here are seven reasons why you should start taking in the mess that it is high school:

1. If you think that you have responsibilities now… just wait for it.

2. Seeing your friends every stinkin’ day!

In all honesty, how can high school suck when you’re with your friends every stinkin’ day?

3.  People won’t always be there to work around your schedule.

One of the hardest transitions into the real world is realizing how much teachers, coaches and family help out by working around your schedule. Organizations don’t have the flexibility to let you join if you don’t have an open schedule, and some professors don’t care if your dog took too long pooping or not… you’re never going to be able to turn in that paper late.

4.  Bills.

Can anyone lend me 10 cents?!

5. No adult jobs.

The lifeguarding days are coming to an end… it’s time to start searching for internships and jobs that will give you enough money for junk food.

6. All of your friends, family and pets are in the same area.

You don’t have to go through the separation anxiety between you and your pets.

7. Nothing compares to stepping on the court in high school.

Only because your friends and family don’t care how embarrassing they can be, they’ll do anything (and I mean anything) to support and represent you.
