Lindsay’s Fashion Blog: Valentine’s Day outfit ideas

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Illinois State chapter.

Oh God, Valentine’s Day is approaching and you have nothing to wear! Don’t worry neither do I, but for you ladies who have plans I bet you’re scratching your head trying to find something sexy and affordable. So what kind of look are you going for that special Valentine’s Day event? Whether it be going to dinner, night on the town, or staying in, you probably want to look your best to keep your guy’s eyes all on you. Here are 3 different looks you can go for and be versatile for any event.

Fun and flirty
More than likely this outfit is for those who are either going out with their crush for the first time or going to the movies. Let’s keep it simple but classy with this sleeveless top, black skinnies, and red heels. The heels will keep with the Valentine’s Day colors, red, pink, and white if you need more of the color scheme. The heels will pop because the color is so eye catching making you feel confident without feeling over the top.

Sexy and daring
I suppose if you’re going to be wearing this you’re out for an extravagant night with your guy or simply sprucing up the night in this ensemble. Let the light catch your dress as you walk into any room with this sequin get up. It’s a deep red which is subtle in the front but in the back shows enough skin to make it acceptable to any occasion. Promise!

Comfy and cute
I guess if you want to stay in and look cute yet stay within the Valentine’s Day spirit keep it headache free. A nice sweater with cute hearts and throw on some leggings provided you stay indoors; we all know leggings aren’t jeans.

Wherever you’re going enjoy your night and look fabulous!
