Free PINK gear, a summer trip to the Victoria’s Secret home office, and getting to plan the most exciting events on campus are just a few of the awesome perks of being a PINK Representative! Having the opportunity to work for such a well-known brand has many advantages and has been very rewarding for both of us.
We get asked all of the time how we got this position; it’s really quite simple! We applied online, went through an interview process, and then received phone calls and emails welcoming us to the brand. Our training took place during the summer in Columbus, Ohio, where VS has their corporate office. At training we learned about the latest in social media and event planning along with what was expected for us throughout the year. One of the most exciting parts – we were able to get an exclusive look at everything new that would be coming to PINK stores this year (and trust us, you’re going to LOVE it)! This three day training is filled with free PINK, amazing meals, private concerts, shopping with your $100 PINK gift card, and creating bonds and friendships that will last a lifetime with girls across the country.
Although this position may sound glamorous, being a PINK representative does come with big responsibilities. This means constantly being on social media, checking emails, booking events, and setting aside hours of your time to assure you give ISU students the best possible events! In addition to this, we are also in charge of interviewing and hiring a team of girls to help us during the school year. This team is crucial because we truly couldn’t do what we do without them! This year our street team members are: Grace Masching, Kristi Bodine, Jenna Durante, Trysten Florey, Grace Blickhan, Eva Kirschbaum, Liz Zamudio, and Ashley Holmes. The Street Team is in charge of helping us plan and execute events, market the brand, and spread the word about PINK on our campus!
From now until October 15th, we will be located on the quad keeping an eye out for girls wearing PINK. If we spot you, you will be rewarded with a PINK freebie, have your picture posted on our social media pages, and have the chance to be featured on VS PINK’s social media – can you say instafamous?!
