My Easter in Geneva

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at HWS chapter.

Ever since I was a child, my favorite part of Easter was waking up in the morning with my twin sister Savannah and running downstairs to hunt for the treats the Easter Bunny left for us. Now me and my sister are both 19 years old, and off on our college adventures, hers taking place at Suny Oneonta and me, here, at Hobart William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York. I may be considered a legal adult by now, however, I knew that I wasn’t going to be ready to give up any Easter fun. And that I did, so I’m going to share with you some ideas for how to make your Easter fun, even if you’re away from home.

The original plan was to go out to brunch on Sunday, The Flounge “Finger Lakes Gifts and Lounge” located on Seneca Street, just a short walk away from campus, however, it was closed on Sunday for Easter. So, we decided to go to The Flounge on Saturday for brunch because I know that I couldn’t pass up on their Chai lattes. I walked to the Flounge with Mikaylee and Rachel, despite the wind the sun was shining and the birds were chirping, it made for a very refreshing stroll. Once there I ordered the Chai latte, and a waffle pizza with sweet peppers and artichokes. Mikaylee and Rachel both ordered one of their signature sandwiches. It was a delicious meal and I’m looking forward to going back for another Chai! If you haven’t been there yet and you live in or near Geneva, I highly recommend it!

This is what I did for Easter on Campus that made me feel like I was carrying out some of my own Easter traditions here at school with new friends that I’ve made.
