Major: Neuroscience

What do you do on campus?

I play Frisbee, am a member of Habitat for Humanity, and am a Coop Service intern.

Where do you intern?

I intern at the Presbyterian Home in New Hartford, NY, which provides residence, health care, and community for the elderly.

What is your role there?

I transport the elderly residents, help with activities, and assist with the rehabilitation program.

Why do you enjoy your job?

I like getting away from the bubble of campus life and taking the time to do something that is not academic. Also, the residents remember me and always share great stories with me.

What is the most valuable lesson you have learned at the Presbyterian Home?

I’ve learned that from the surface you can’t tell what hardships people have faced. The internship has also shown me the importance of spending time with all different types of people.

What is your favorite thing about Hamilton?

I like how small Hamilton is because the size allows you get to know students and professors really well. At the same time, Hamilton has a lot of facilities and resources for such a small school.
