What is Etsy?

Esty is an online shop that sells only handmade items, vintage items, or craft supplies. They sell everything from food to art to jewelry. If you are looking for something handmade, more than likely you can find it on Etsy. Etsy also includes items from around the world, meaning you can easily buy from places as far away as Japan or Bulgaria.

How does it work?

Etsy is organized into “shops” which each individual seller manages, or you can just search for whatever you are looking for and get pages of responses. Etsy sellers deal with their own shipping and most except credit card payments or paypal. There are even Etsy gift cards that can be used in most shops.

What can I buy?

There is no limit to the amount of things you can find on Etsy. They have pottery, jewelry, crochet items, art pieces, kitchen accessories and much more. Etsy is a great option for buying gifts because most everything is handmade, meaning much of it can be personalized.

Etsy Shops:

Esty is also extremely excessable to the everyday person, so if you are a crafter and want your own Etsy shop it is easy and managable to create. As an Etsy shop owner, you create your own unique shop name, background picture and personal statement. It only costs 20 cents per item to list it for 4 month or until it sells and a 3.5% fee on the sales price and the responsibility of shipping is on the shop owner.
