You know you saw the AephiProblem$ video…and you know it’s stuck in your head. If you haven’t, you can conveniently play it here while reading this article and getting to know the girl behind the idea!
How does it feel to be this week’s Campus Celebrity?
I feel great! I’m glad that people are enjoying our video and it’s getting recognition – I feel really good about it.
How did you get the idea for the 2013 AEPhi Recruitment video?
We had a really popular video a couple of years ago that made it onto Tosh.0, and it’s something we really care about. We always do a rap song and AEPhi Problem$ was the most catchy.
What was your first reaction when you saw the video?
I knew that we had a lot of great shots that we filmed, so I was very excited to see the final product. There was a rough cut and we had a few things to change, but after watching the final edited version I was ecstatic because it was amazing!
What was it like filming it that day?
It was a lot of fun! We went to a lot of different locations and just had fun with it. We had a couple of shots in mind, but we didn’t go into the day with a ton of plans for what we wanted to do. Everyone was having so much fun, so we just got a bunch of shots of us being us!
How does it feel to have been in charge of a video that went viral (over 50,000 views on Youtube) and was named the best sorority rush video ever created by Elite Daily? (http://elitedaily.com/life/culture/the-10-best-sorority-videos-of-all-time/)
It feels great! When A$AP Rocky posted our video on his website and Facebook, everyone went crazy!!

Do you have any plans for the recruitment video next year?
We’re definitely going to continue the tradition next year and use the same guy. He already asked me what we wanted to do in the spring so I have high hopes about that.
Who filmed the video?
His name is Jon-Marc Balint (https://www.facebook.com/jonmarcfilms) I got in touch with him because he is a close friend of an AEPhi sister.
