It was Homecoming week at GW! Several events took place to get the entire GW community out & involved. Everything started with a bonfire to celebrate George Washington’s birthday. Followed by a tailgate, a homecoming men’s basketball game against Temple, and crowning of Mr. & Miss GW. The homecoming game packed the Smith Center. Everyone was out cheering on the Colonials hoping for a win against Temple. Unfortunately, the Colonials lost 57-41. Never the less something special took place during halftime at this game. It was the announcement of Mr. & Miss GW. This years winners were Cecilia Matrone and DJ Sigworth. Congratulations to both of them!

Nicole Robert is a senior from North Salem, New York. She transferred from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and this is her third year at The George Washington University. She studies International Affairs with a concentration in Global Public Health, and minors in Public Health.
