Christmas Gifts That You Should Ask For

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at GSU chapter.

It’s that time of year again guys. Your parents, friends, or even boyfriend may be asking you what do you want for Christmas and your answer simply may be, “I don’t even know.”

Well if you are like me, the older you get the harder it becomes to think of gifts that you want or need. So here are a couple of inexpensive gifts everyone may need.

Gift cards

Whether it’s a gas gift card (a complete blessing), Forever21 gift card, or even a Chick-Fil-A gift card, nothing beats getting a free item or food on someone else. I love when I have to only spend two dollars at a store because the gift card covered the rest.

DIY Gifts

This is my personal favorite. If you know the person who asked you what you want for Christmas is creative, have them create a basket full of your favorite things. The basket can be any kind of theme, color, or size. Basically, just let the person know what you really like and have them put it in the basket. In my case, I love to write and I love  the color pink. So I’d ask for journals, notepads, cute pens, candles, books, etc. This gift is really creative and always shows that the person put a lot of thought into the gift.

Hair products

Natural hair care products can be so expensive! Trying to maintain your curl pattern with natural hair care products can sometimes break your pockets. So why not ask for some natural hair care products for Christmas. Just ask for that one product you’ve been dying to try, but couldn’t buy because you had something else to buy. Also Target sells a Cantu Winter Repair Kit and Repair Kit for only 10 dollars!

Makeup

Now this is a gift you really have to be specific with. I’d suggest sending the person a link so that they know exactly what to get you. I like to ask for eyeshadow palettes or cute highlighters and lipglosses. Morphe Cosmetics  has a new “Day and Night” 15 color eyeshadow palette for 15 dollars. If you haven’t had time to try out Rihanna new makeup line, this is the perfect time to ask someone else to buy it for you!

Jewelry

Now if you love your charm bracelet like I do, more charms is something that is my go to gift that I always ask for. A charm bracelet helps tell memories about different milestones in your life. Pandora sells cute charms for less than 50 dollars.

I hope these gift ideas will help you decide what you want for Christmas! Happy Holidays! XO
