Kayla Meiotik is a community leader at Eagle Village. She is a sophomore from Lomira Wisconsin with a major in pre nursing. Kayla came to Georgia Southern on a quest to explore another state and search for warmer weather. One thing that caught her eye about southern was the many classes that is offered at the RAC, for example her favorite is the scuba diving class because it is something that she simply can’t do back in Wisconsin. Her most valuable achievement includes getting accepted into college as well as finding the courage to move fifteen hours away from family and friends and start completely over, alone.
Kayla says “ If I could give one piece of advice to incoming freshman it would be to be yourself, There is so many people walking around from different walks of life and it’s easy to lose yourself.” We end our conversation with her sharing her desire to travel abroad before she graduates and the hardest thing for her thus far has been budgeting
