- Halloween themed candy
Now we all know that Reese’s taste better when they’re shaped like pumpkins and Kit Kats taste better when the chocolate is dyed orange. Something about making candy shaped for the Halloween season just makes it so much more delicious! Stores start selling these delightful treats at the end of September so there’s no reason you should miss out!
- Trick or Treating
No matter how old you are trick or treating always gives you that thrill of being five years old again. There’s nothing better than getting FREE candy. The best part is going home at the end of the night and sorting out all your candy. It’s even better when that one house in the neighborhood gives you a full size candy bar. Trading candy with your siblings and friends, eating way more candy in one sitting than you should….nothing beats it.
- Costumes
It feels like as we get older, the importance of costumes gets higher. When we were younger, we went to Party City and tried to pick out the best princess, witch, or fairy costume we could find. You walked around the neighborhood and waited for someone to ask “What are you?” so you could proudly declare what you were that year. In college, you pick out a costume for the party. You don’t want to be the “basic” referee, cat, or police officer, but you also want to be something cute that people would recognize. People start picking out their costumes weeks in advance just to party for a couple of hours on Halloween night.
- Pumpkin Carving
Who doesn’t love scooping out all of that messy, nasty goop out of a pumpkin? And then carving out something that only slightly resembles what it’s meant to be? Nevertheless, it is really fun to do!
- Halloween Movies
ALL THE MOVIES!!!! All of our favorite classics such as Casper and Wendy, HalloweenTown, and Hocus Pocus all come back this month. It is a full month of great Halloween movies that you can watch over and over without getting tired of seeing them. Let’s face it, you probably have all of them recorded anyways.
