10 Songs You NEED to Add to Your Workout Playlist

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Georgetown chapter.

When the list of New Year’s resolutions to exercise combines with the realization that Spring is just around the corner, February at Georgetown quickly transforms into a month of fitness frenzies and workout goals. During peak hours, Yates Field House can seem like a major department store on Black Friday: the ellipticals are taken, the track is busy, and Kayla Itsines’ Bikini Body Guides can be spotted on more phones than not. Whether you are trying to shed a few pounds, impress your crush, show off your new Lulus, finish that last set of burpees, or just break a sweat, these ten songs will provide that boost to help you go the extra mile:

1.  “7/11″ by Beyoncé

What better way to start off your workout than a little motivation from Beyoncé? This song will have you moving in no time… All hail Queen B. Need I say more?

2. “Sorry” by Justin Bieber

Is it too late now to turn back? Absolutely not, your workout has just begun… This song from Justin Bieber’s Purpose album is the perfect transition from warm-up to full blast.

3. “Easy Love” by Sigala

“C’mon now!” This Jackson 5 remix of ABC is so catchy, you’ll forget that you’re even working out. This “simple melody” will provide the beat to kill it on that spin bike or treadmill.

4. “Alive” by Sia

Who wouldn’t feel feel alive listening to this hit by Sia? You CAN do it. You CAN finish this workout.

5. “Reflections” by MisterWives

Don’t be fooled… This song may start out slow, but it quickly picks up the beat and will have you dancing—I mean ellipting—your heart out in no time.

6. “Till I Collapse” by Eminem

This song says it all… If you’re going to stick to your New Year’s resolution, listen to Eminem and work out till YOU collapse… or at least until you’re rocking that two piece in Cabo!

7. “House Party” by Sam Hunt

Turn that house party into a gym party and add a little country flair to your routine!

8. “Love Yourself / Hands to Myself” Mash-up by Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez

If this former couple isn’t already fit goals enough, this song will get you up and moving. I mean, have you seen Justin Bieber’s Calvin Klein ad?

9. “Hold My Hand” by Jess Glynne

Are you ready for this? At this point in the workout, you won’t need anyone to hold your hand as you cruise into the home stretch.

10. “Running Out” (ft. Astrid S) by Matoma

By now, you’re exhausted and ready to run out of the gym, take a shower, and get in bed… But before you go, give this song a listen for the perfect warm down.
