7 Cocktails You Need to Try This Holiday Season

There’s nothing like getting in the holiday spirit by decorating your entire apartment head-to-toe in Christmas décor, getting last minute gifts for friends and family, and enjoying your favorite holiday cocktails. This holiday season, we bring you some fun, new recipes for you to sleigh at your upcoming holiday parties. As always, make sure to drink responsibly, collegiettes!

1. Jack Frost Cocktail

For all the ice queens out there this holiday season, this cool drink is perfect for you. The best part? It can be served as an icy cocktail or made into a classic martini.

Ingredients:

  • Light corn syrup or honey for rimming the glasses with flaked coconut
  • 8 cups of ice (depending on the desired level of consistency)
  • 1 cup of pineapple juice o ½ cup blue curacao
  • ½ cup of vodka or light rum
  • ½ cup of coconut cream

2. Eggnog Mugslide

Eggnog is a staple during the holiday season. What better way to celebrate the best time of the year than with this perfect after-dinner drink? Sweet, creamy, and delicious, these tasty Eggnog Mugslides will be everyone’s favorite at your holiday dinner parties.

Ingredients

  • 1 part Kahlua
  • 1 part vodka
  • 2 parts eggnog
  • Whipped Cream
  • Ground nutmeg

3. Feeney’s Gingerbread Latte Martini

  • 2 tbsps. of vodka
  • 2 tbsps. of Feeney’s Irish Cream
  • 2 tbsps. of single cream
  • 2 tbsps. of gingerbread syrup
  • 1 tbsp. of cold espresso

4. Peppermint Mocha White Russian

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ oz. of vodka
  • 1 ½ oz. of peppermint Kahlua
  • 2 oz. of milk

5. Kahlua Hot Chocolate

Nothing says winter without some hot chocolate, and with a little alcohol, we know why this traditional holiday drink stays our favorite.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of milk
  • 2 tbsps. of sugar
  • 1 ½ tbsps. of cocoa powder
  • ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 oz. of Kahlua coffee liqueur
  • For garnish: mini marshmallows, salted caramel, chocolate syrup

6. Cranberry Mimosas

Because brunch just wouldn’t be the same without this holiday drink. Don’t forget to rim the glasses with sugar for the perfect, snowy touch.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lime, halved
  • 2 tbsps. of sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups of sweetened cranberry juice
  • 1 bottle of champagne
  • 12 fresh cranberries
  • 4 small sprigs of fresh rosemary

7. White Christmas Mojito

Ingredients:

  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 8 mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp. of sugar
  • 2 tbsps. of white rum
  • 1 tbsp. of coconut rum
  • ¼ cup of canned coconut milk
  • Sparkling water for topping
  • Pomegranate arils for garnish
