Fall Things that Will Make You Forget You Miss Summer

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Framingham chapter.

The end of Summer for many of us means saying good-bye to beach days, summer bonfires, and saying hello again to school and chilly days. While some may dread Fall for being the end of an amazing Summer, there are so many reasons to be excited for Fall. For me, Fall means events and activities that make me forget all about Summer!

Apple and Pumpkin Picking

The most nostalgic outing of all! It’s so much fun to go apple picking with friends on a beautiful fall day to stock up on apples for a while (or just eat them then and there). You and some friends or your S.O. can go on a hunt for the perfect pumpkin to morph into a Jack O’ Lantern!

Everything Halloween

Speaking of Jack O’ Lanterns, Halloween is the highlight of Fall. Planning your group costume with your friends (which may or may not have started in July, no judgment) is time consuming, so you don’t even have time to miss summer! You’re too busy looking forward to having the best costume at the Halloween party! Haunted houses or haunted hayrides are also fun to do if you’re not into dressing up but want to participate in the spooks. Plus all the Halloween candy you can stomach, what else do you need?

The Return of Our Favorite Shows

There’s no need to rewatch a Netflix series 24/7 like we did for a good portion of the summer. This Fall The Mindy Project’s final season (*sobs*) has started on Hulu, BoJack Horseman has released its best season yet, Grey’s Anatomy is back on the 28th of this month, and there’s so much more! It’s also the season of new shows we can deem worthy or not of our time.

Fall Clothes

Fall is the best season to shop for. If you haven’t yet broken out your favorite sweater from the back of your closet yet, it might be time for a set. What is better than a big, cozy sweater? Nothing, that’s what. You might want to break in a new pair of boots or put back on your loyal pair from last year.

Fall Festivals

Corn mazes, games, and fried everything. Fall festivals are perfect on crisp nights (and when it’s lit up they are Instagram worthy). Plus there are plenty to choose from in New England!

Foliage

If you’re taking a walk or a nice long drive, make sure you can stop and look at how gorgeous the changing of the leaves are. What makes it even batter is it not being a hundred degrees and insanely humid.

Apple Cider
