#OverheardAtFordham: No. 4

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fordham chapter.

As the weather continues to get colder, you’ll probably find yourself indoors much more often. Although this means dressing in layers on layers and enduring annoying wind gusts every time you walk to class, there are some benefits to the season. Besides cozying up with hot chocolate, your favorite book, or Netflix, staying inside gives you so many more opportunities to listen to other people’s conversations. Don’t feel like braving the cold to walk to the subway? Head to the caf instead, where the close seating allows for some GREAT overheards. At least that’s what this professional eavesdropper has found. The results of my cabin fever are listed below in your #OverheardAtFordham No. 4!

1. Rules of Attraction

“He said he had bagels, so I started running towards his apartment.”

2. Night Owl

“You about that night class life?”

“Yeah, it blows.”

3. Lost Member of LMFAO at Fordham???

“You’re the guy who wears gold chains and zebra pants.”

4. BO$$

“Were you on newspaper in high school?”

“Yes, I was. I ran that bitch.”

[Author’s Note: This title and GIF are inspired by Fifth Harmony’s “BO$$”, a must-listen for any feminist looking for a new anthem.]

5. Road to Success

“I missed so many office hours…I just slept through them.”

6. Resumé Building

“You think I’m qualified, but I’m really not qualified.”

7. #Bitter

“All these freshmen are getting boyfriends. That was not me last year.”

“It’s pathetic.”

8. First Impressions

“I thought he was gonna be the weirdest kid ever, but he’s super cool.”

9. Wishful Thinking

“You gotta go into the test thinking you’re gonna pass. That might help.”

10. I Woke Up Like This

“Who ARE you?!”

“FLAWLESS, that’s what.”
