Anthony Tantillo, FCRH’16

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fordham chapter.

Name: Anthony Tantillo

School and Year: FCRH ’16

Major: Physics, with a minor in Mathematics.

Single or Taken: Single

What do you love about Fordham? Where do I start? I like the people. I love the Ramblers. If I didn’t find a group of people like that I wouldn’t like the school as much as I do, and the orientation team.

Campus Involvement: President of the Ramblers, Orientation Leader and Captain for NSO, Treasurer of Healthy You

Hobbies: I like to sing obviously. I really like nerdy stuff like the Game of Thrones books or Lord of the Rings movies. And I like running.

Favorite class at Fordham and why? I really liked (this is going to sound really nerdy) Multivariable Calculus 2 with Doctor Poor because he’s just a really genuine person and he cared about how we did in the class.

What’s on your Fordham Bucket List? I went to Father McShane’s Bucket List talk and it really got me thinking. I would say definitely experiencing the city in different ways than before and taking advantage of living in one of the coolest cities in the world.

Describe your dream job. I would really like to do something that has an impact, something where I get to use all of this really complicated stuff that I’ve been learning over the past couple of years. I would love to develop something that could help or save a life. But while also having time for family, because that’s important.

So I’m curious. Tell me about the tattoos. Well I don’t like the idea of getting a tattoo unless I’ve given it a lot of thought, like a year or so. I recently got the main tenant of the serenity prayer (serenity, courage, wisdom), because it’s a prayer that my mom really likes and taught me when I was younger. Then I got to college and it helped me stay grounded and not be stressed. And the infinity knot because it’s circular and represents something that will always be there, just like family.

What is your go-to karaoke song? I like to go for something goofy, something a little ironic. I’ll usually break out to something by Kanye West…always a crowd pleaser.

If you could choose your last meal, what would it be? It would probably have to be my mom’s chicken potpie. I’m a big fan of a meal in a bit kind of stuff.

Have you ever sung to a girl on a date/would you ever? I did once. It was in high school for my then girlfriend. I wrote a song on the ukulele. It was awkward, but went over well. If it were to win a girl over, I would do it on Valentine’s Day, but with the Ramblers of course.

What is the most attractive quality a girl could have? I think being easy going, light hearted and fun.

It’s safe to say Anthony has some of the best qualities we could ask for in a guy; smart, kind hearted, a little nerdy, and…he sings! Has he won your heart yet?
