Living in a Society that has shed new light on DIY projects can become quite tricky when you have no artistic ability and your patience runs thin. For me, DIYs are a nightmare and disaster waiting to happen.
It always starts the same way, you start out with the most positive outlook. “YES! Let’s totally cut up our $40 FIU T-shirts for the tailgate!” You know yourself well enough, so you decide to get some practice items before attempting to make the real deal.
That’s when reality sets in. There are 5 things that are sure to happen if you if you DIY projects are NOT friends.
1. You have to restart 100 times
2.Everything comes out crooked
3.All your friend’s projects look great and yours looks like a DISASTER.
4.You try to find an easier version of the project to see if you can somehow redeem yourself.
5.You get so frustrated you either: make your friend do it for you or, you buy the damn thing in a store.
If this is you, save yourself the trouble, my friend. Stay AWAY from DIYs at all costs! (Literally at all costs, you’ll probably spend an arm and leg on art supplies to end up throwing them against the wall in pure frustration.)
