HC FAMU: How was your transition from a preppy university cheerleader to a fierce imt model, was the transition easy or were the experiences similar ?
VC: For cheerleading you always have to smile which I had no problem with because I’m smiling and laughing 99.9 percent of time and I’m very spirited, but for IMT you have to be sassy! I love kinda channeling someone else usually it’s Hilary Banks from Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Lol. However it takes a lot of discipline for both.
HC FAMU: Who is your favorite designer and what is your favorite piece?
VC: Valentino and Karl Lagerfeld, and I love my Red Valentino coat.
HC FAMU: Who is your biggest role model and why ?
VC: I actually have two, my mother and my father. Both are spiritual, intelligent, compassionate, ambitious and driven. They are socially conscious and believe in service to others. In the words of famed boxer Muhammad Ali, “Our Service to others is the rent that we pay for our space here on earth”.
HC FAMU:What made you decide to come to FAMU?
VC: I definitely wanted to attend a HBCU. FAMU is traditionally one of the oldest most prestigious HBCU’s. Additionally, I have two older sisters who graduated from FAMU, so I wanted to continue the family tradition.
HC FAMU: What is something great about you that everyone doesn’t know or you feel that people should know ?
VC: I enjoy volunteering at the homeless shelter and I’ve been involved in fundraising for various causes such as breast cancer awareness since age 12.
HC FAMU: What are your future aspirations for your life?
VC: I want to finish undergrad then law school in Atlanta to obtain my masters in Law. Eventually I would like to go to Miami or LA to begin my career in Sports Management.
