Colleges across the country are working on ways to prevent sexual assaults on campus, and Fairfield University has taken the initiative to discuss consent in a YouTube video, “Step Up Stags.” In the video, students encourage their peers to understand what consent truly is and that it cannot be disputed even while under the influence.
Nationally, one in five women are reported to be sexually assaulted while in college, and every year there are reports at Fairfield University.
