5 Ways to Spice up your Dorm this Holiday Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

The concrete walls and tile floors start to get a bit monotonous after 3 months of living in a dorm.  There is no better time to spice up your dorm and give it that warm and cozy feeling than during the holiday season! Here are a few ways you can make your room a little more festive:

1. Mini Christmas Tree

A Christmas tree is the ultimate symbol of holiday cheer. While the huge Christmas tree in your home probably won’t suit your 12×12 room, you can always get a miniature one!  Everything is better fun-sized anyway!

2. Matching Stockings With Your Roomie!

What better way to really embody #roomiegoals than by getting festive with your roommate and hanging matching stockings?

3. String Lights

There is no cozier feeling than having beautiful string lights on in your room while you wind down and go to sleep. For that extra little spice, hang up some festive colored lights!

4. Wreath

Show off to your neighbors how much Christmas spirit you have by hanging a beautiful wreath on your door.

5. Christmas Themed Throw Pillows

There are a multitude of options to pick from here, whether you prefer a snowman, reindeer, elf, Christmas tree, or Santa himself! Pillows also often have cute quotes on them, which really captures the spirit of the holiday season.

Friends, sun, sand, and sea is all this chick needs.
