2017 Women’s March

 

On January 21st, 2017 millions of not only women, but men as well protested in cities around the United States, after our new president was inaugurated. On Friday January 20th, 2017 Donald Trump became the new president of the United States, and millions of people were not enthused. Over two million people worldwide marched on Saturday in opposition of our new president. Protest were not only held in Washington DC, but other cities across the US, including; Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York. Thousands of women protested against Trumps ideas to eliminate healthcare, abortion laws, new immigration laws, and women’s rights. Celebrities such as Alicia Keys, Zendaya, Julia Roberts, Madonna, Miley Cyrus, and many others participated in the women’s march across our country, in hopes to stand up for our country. Millions participated in the march on January 21st, but it does not stop here. As time goes on there should be a drastic number of more protest to come. All proceeds go to the Women’s March on Washington association.
