Taylor Hackett ’16

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DePauw chapter.

Now that Winter is here, we are already counting down the days until spring, and we all know what this means… BASEBALL SEASON. This week’s Campus Cutie is a pitcher for DePauw’s baseball team. Ladies, meet Taylor Hackett.

HerCampus: Hey Campus Cutie, let’s start with you telling us a little bit about yourself.

Taylor Hackett: I’m a sophomore, and I think I’m going to be an Econ major and Educational Studies minor.  I play on the baseball team and I’m a Phi Delt.

HC: Sounds like you’re pretty busy! What’s your favorite thing about DePauw?

TH: There are a lot of things about DePauw that other people at big schools wouldn’t understand.  Like boulder runs, Erodr or flower-ins and things like that.  I’ve made a lot of memories here that definitely wouldn’t have happened at other schools

HC: That’s very true, now to some fun questions. Who’s your celebrity crush?

TH: I’ve always been a fan of Erin Andrews.

HC: That’s a popular one! What type of date would you take her on?

TH: I think she would probably want to go to a sports game, and I wouldn’t have a problem with that.  I’d like to know if she knows as much about sports as it looks on TV.

HC: Sounds like you’re into girls who know a lot about sports! What do you typically look for in a girl?

TH: I like girls who are down to earth and can have a good time no matter what we’re doing.  Especially girls that have a good sense of humor, and if you’re into sports, that’s a huge plus.

HC: What do you think the biggest turnoff about a girl can be?

TH: I really don’t like when girls are involved in a lot of drama.  I try to avoid that as much as possible.

HC: So do you have any campus crushes?

TH: Mary from the Den, without a doubt.

HC: Haha, good choice. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

TH: That’s a good question, I honestly don’t know.  Hopefully by then I’ll have a good job and starting a family, but I’m not set on any specific job or anything like that.  I think I’d want to move back to Minnesota, where I grew up, though.
