5 Stages of Halloween Costume Stress

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CUA chapter.

1) The realization of how fast Halloween is actually approaching.

Living a busy college life, there always seems to be something unexpected popping up on us, halloween is just another one of those things.

2) Picking your costume.

As if we don’t have enough to brainstorm about, whether it be paper topics or instagram captions, now comes the time where your creativity comes in key and on top of everything else you have to come up with an origional costume idea.

3) Expenses.

Trying to make do with whatever you have in your closet only goes so far. Having to track down and buy all the little pieces to make your costume a success can really add up.

4) Actually getting the pieces for the costume.

When you’re living in the city, there is very little space for pop-up halloween stores like Spirit to move into the city for a few months, so going to a costume store means taking a trip out to the suburbs. Or having to make do with whatever is Amazon Prime eligible.

5) Anticipating the inevitable moment when you see 15 other girls wearing the same last minute costume.

But honestly shouldn’t all of us lazy girls unite?
