The holidays are around the corner and fashion never sleeps! Sure, you can throw on your go-to, somewhat formal outfit and call it a day, but who says fashion needs to be so cut and dry? Here are some not-so-typical holiday party outfits that’ll be sure to turn heads and keep you on trend this holiday season!

You can’t go wrong with metallics or sequins

Metallics are perfect for the girl who likes to stick to neutrals. If you’re someone who tends to stray from color and favor only a few tones, a metallic based outfit is perfect for you! The same goes for sequins. You can wear your preferred color pallet while still adding a little holiday sparkle into your outfit. Holiday attire is all about glam, but if you prefer a more low-key vibe, metallics or sequins can help you step out of your comfort zone without completely changing your go-to style.

When in doubt, wear red.

I am a firm believer that everyone can look good in red. It’s the universal bold color that works on any hair color or skin tone. If you want to show up to the party looking bold and festive, then look no further! Finding yourself struggling to find the perfect outfit for you holiday party? You can never go wrong with red. A red dress is perfect if you want to look like you’re in the holiday spirit. It will also be sure to keep you looking fierce.

Jeans and boots (for the girl who likes to keep it casual)

Sometimes you wanna keep it simple or maybe the party is just more casual. Dressing up your jeans is perfect for a holiday party that puts less focus on the glamorous aspect of things. Pearl jeans are in right now and so are white boots! Luckily, these style trends already create an outfit for you! Pair your favorite jeans (pearl if you have them) with you favorite trendy boots (try something like the white boots pictured below), and a sweater for an instant casual, yet holiday-esque look!

LBD

You know how I said that you can’t go wrong with red? The same goes for a little black dress. This is a staple piece that should be in every fashionista’s wardrobe! When there are no other options, turn to the simple black dress you have in your closet. It’s chic and you won’t have to spend lots of money on a strictly holiday themed outfit! What makes it perfect for a holiday party is how easy it can be dressed up and accessorized. Over-the-knee boots? Statement jewelry? Faux fur? Take your pick! Any of these options are perfect to pair with your LBD and will have you looking party-ready in no time!

Sweater and mini skirt trend

This one is a no brainer and takes minimal effort to put together. If you have a sweater (preferably oversized) and a miniskirt, the work is already done! Pair your favorite chunky sweater with a denim or patent leather mini skirt for a chic winter look. Dress it up with some booties and you’re ready for the party! P.S. this is one of the cozier options, so you’ll be sure to be comfortable while still appearing fashionable!

Mesh shirts under slip dresses

Wanna be on trend this holiday season? Try this! Mesh tops are on trend and this time they’re being paired with slip dresses! The great thing about slip dresses is that they’re usually silk material, making it super easy to look classy and chic, while keeping your outfit simple. Mesh tops can immediately transform your outfit into something a bit more formal and again, hardly take much effort to make look cute!

Who says being in style has to be hard or break the bank? There are so many versatile options for whatever your go-to style is and they’ll be sure to keep you looking on-trend and ready for your next holiday party!

xoxo and happy holidays,
