What brought you to Colgate? “I honestly never thought I was going to get in, so I was pleasantly surprised when I got my acceptance letter. Overall, I liked the idea of being in ‘the middle of nowhere’ for four years because there is no other time in my life when I can experience this lifestyle. I thought the size of the school and the campus spirit fit my college needs.”

What is your favorite thing about Colgate? “I like the size of the school; I walk around and feel like I know people, but just when I think I know everybody, I meet somebody new! I like that everyone gives 110% at everything they do, whether in the classroom, a sport; everybody here is very passionate about something. I like the town of Hamilton and the people in it! I enjoy seeing the people of Hamilton and Colgate students intermingling whether at a hockey game, the farmer’s market, or P-Chopps.”

What do you do on campus? “Currently I am on way to Montreal with the class of 2014. I am the secretary of the sophomore Class Council so the class council and I have been planning this trip for a while. I am also involved in Gamma Phi Beta, Sidekicks, the Colgate Jewish Union, and I am a lifeguard at Lineberry Natorium.”

How did you get involved with class council? “In high school I did something similar my senior year, and I always wished I had started doing it earlier in high school as I really liked it. So I joined at Colgate. I enjoy the opportunity to meet all the students in our grade through the various events class council sponsors.”

Where is your favorite spot on campus? “The Skylight Suite. Many of you might not know of this spot, but those of you who do know why it is so great. It has the best view of the sunset every night.”

Where is your favorite place to eat in Hamilton? “Royal India Café. It is so delicious and I really like ethnic food. Plus the lunch buffet is the best deal in Hamilton!”

What are 3 fun facts about yourself? “I can crack my nose, my family’s first dog was named munchkin even though it weighed 100lbs, and I was the captain of my high school fencing team.”
