Secrets of a Beauty Junkie: Product Review- Tarte Cheek Stain

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CMU chapter.

A couple of weeks ago, I purchased Tarte Cheek Stain. Let me tell you my fellow beauty lovers, this is the best blush I have ever purchased. I chose the “natural beauty” shade, which is perfect for light and olive skin tones. There is a color for every skin tone. I recommend “blissful,” a warm peachy pink for porcelain and fair skin tones. For medium skin tones, “tipsy” and “loving” are perfect shades. “Blushing bride” and “tickled” are great for dark skin tones.

In addition to the great colors, Tarte Cheek Stain is good for the skin, unlike some products that contain harmful chemicals. The long-lasting stain is free of parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, petro-chemicals, and phthalates. Instead, it contains good-for-you T5 Super Fruit Complex, a combination of goji, acai, maracuja, acerola, and pomegranate. Together, these antioxidant-rich fruits refine, prevent aging, and restore the skin. The stain also contains mineral pigments known for soothing and softening properties. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I did actually notice a difference in my skin where I used the stain. It was softer and looked healthier, as promised.

If the skin benefits don’t convince you, Tarte Cheek Stain is also doing good in the world. Tarte has started an initiative to promote positive change in the Amazon Rainforest. The program promotes conservation, improved living conditions, and educational opportunities through the sustainable management of the acai tree, so you can feel good every time you use the product. The stain comes in a cute little tube, and for $30 at Sephora, it’s definitely worth a try for everyone.
