1. What is your favorite part about being a part of the Rugby Team?

My favorite thing about being part of the rugby team is hands down the people and the relationships. The rugby team is my family here in Clemson. As much as I love getting my anger out on the field, it wouldn’t be worth it without these great women by my side.

2.  What is your favorite thing about Clemson?

My favorite thing about Clemson is how happy the students are. It’s so true that we’re one of the happiest universities in the country and I see it everyday.

3. What do you do as Rugby’s president?

As president I have many different roles. It’s hard to pin down exactly what I do because the role is very expansive and I play a hand in all executive positions in the club. The most clear and consistent part of my job is to be the administrator and liaison for the club. It’s my responsibility to reactivate the club each year and register it with the Club Sports Association at Clemson, the South Independent Rugby Conference, and USA Rugby which includes many tasks such as paying dues and filling out paperwork for each player. I also run our executive council meetings each week where we ensure that our club activities run smoothly which requires a lot of behind the scenes work.

4. What has been your most memorable game as a part of the Rugby team?

I would say my most memorable game on the rugby team so far is probably our match last year vs USC. What’s most important about that match is of course that we won, but the reason it’s memorable is during that game I actually got cleated in the face and broke my nose. For some reason I instinctively set it while on the field and after the blood was cleaned up I still played most of the game.

5. What is your favorite Clemson tradition?

There’s so many great traditions here at Clemson so it’s hard to just pick one! But, I would have to say my favorite tradition that I’m most excited for is the class ring. I am super excited to wear the Clemson ring around with pride.

6. When is your next game?

Our competitive season is in the spring and we’ve already played our friendly matches for this semester so our next game will be in January.

7. What made you join the Rugby team?

I joined the rugby team because I thought it was something I could really enjoy. I knew of rugby from an old basketball teammate who plays rugby in college and I was excited to try something new and find my Clemson family!
