If you don’t know that Clemson is playing Florida State on Saturday night for the big football game of the week in the national spotlight then you probably live under a rock. This is one of our school’s biggest rivalries since in recent years it has been whichever team wins this game wins the division and the conference. One of the aspects of college sports that helps to really complete the full experience is the intense rivalries. This is all just for fun and to get everyone pumped up to watch the Tigers tomorrow! Here’s a few of my favorite reasons why Clemson beats FSU on and off the field!
1. Clemson is ranked #20 for top public universities in the nation and Florida State is #43!
2. The football team running down the hill with the cannons and balloons is far more exciting than running out from the locker room after Chief Osceola on his horse with a flaming spear.
3. “Hold Us Back” or as it’s usually called “We Too Deep” is way better than the rap that FSU players put out this summer.

4. Cole Stoudt and Deshaun Watson are class acts…and then there is Jameis Winston.
5. Clemson is #3 in the nation for having the happiest students and FSU doesn’t make the list.
6. Their highest ranking of the year was #3 for “Lots of Beer” while Clemson had 5 first and second place rankings related to aspects of the university besides partying.
7. HOPEFULLY Clemson can pull off the upset on the field Saturday for the first time since 2011, which means it is something most of our student body has not gotten to experience yet. I’m optimistic about the games outcome, but whether we win or lose I still think we go to the best school there is. Go Tigers!!!!
