Year: First Year

Hometown and what you love about it:

My hometown is Charleroi, Pennsylvania. What I loved about Charleroi is that I’ve met people there that are my type of people and I will never find friendships like that anywhere else.

Areas of study and why you chose them:

Currently I am a Public Relations major with a minor in Political Science, but I’m switching over to Arts Management because I’ve always been very creative and loved art and I knew I should have done that all along.

Why did you choose Chatham?

I chose Chatham because this University actually cares for the wants and needs of the students and also, as soon as I saw how beautiful the campus was, I was sold.

Suppose you can assign one book for every member of the Chatham community to read. Which one do you pick and why?

The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brian because it is beautifully written and tells amazing stories of life in the Vietnam War from many American soldiers’ perspectives.

You have a friend coming to visit Pittsburgh, and you can only take them to do one thing. What do you choose and why?

Well first we would enter the city through the Liberty Tunnels (like in the book, Perks [of Being a Wallflower]) and let them have that experience, and I would take them down to the Strip District because it’s one of my favorite places to go and shop.

If a prospective student asked you to name one thing to do while they’re visiting campus, what would you tell them?

Go sit down by the pond by yourself.

Imagine you can pick one TV or movie character to be your best friend for life. Who do you pick and why?

Lumpy Space Princess off Adventure Time because I am her.

What was your Halloween costume this year?

Dwight Schrute from The Office.

What was your favorite childhood Halloween costume?

In preschool we got to dress up for school and I was a dinosaur, and I thought it was really cool because all the other little girls were things like princesses and stuff like that and I was a dinosaur.

What do you love most about Halloween?

EVERYTHING, it is my favorite holiday and I wish I could celebrate all year long.

If you were to go trick-or-treating, which candy would you definitely hope to get?

Those little Huggies drinks

Childhood Dream Job:

Paleontologist (I really loved dinosaurs)

Current Dream Job:

I don’t have a specific job title, but whatever I do, I hope that art is somehow involved and I am able to travel, be happy and be free.

What do you love most about being a Chatham student?

All of the cool opportunities I’ve gotten to experience since I’ve gotten to Chatham.
