Dasha Jolly

Year: Sophomore

What is your major and why did you choose it?

Double major, visual arts and accounting. I want to work in Art Fraud/Theft for the FBI, or on the art appraisal board or the CID for the IRS.

What’s your hometown and what do you like most about it?

Indiana, Pennsylvania. The only thing worth mentioning about it are two of my favorite teachers – Spanish and Art – and a coffee shop.

Favorite Books: The Deed of Paksennarion by Elizabeth Moon is, hands down, my favorite.

Favorite Movies: I have a large collection of movies that I love and adore, but V for Vendetta or Titus (the Anthony Hopkins version) are my top two.

Favorite TV Shows: Revolution and The Cape.

Favorite Musicians/Bands: I really like Pentatonix and anything Bear McCreary has had a hand in.

What is your favorite holiday treat?

Mom’s homemade rhubarb-and-strawberry pie.

What do you love most about the holiday season at Chatham?

Sledding down Chapel Hill on a lunch tray. It’s something I’ve never done before, but it’s actually fun and kind of funny.

Why did you choose Chatham?

I liked the campus and the feel of being here. It’s got a very calming atmosphere, and I actually like returning.

What do you love most about being a Chatham woman?

The sense of community I have here. I have a large group of people I would consider friends, and I have found that my opinions are shared by more people than ever before. It’s more welcoming than high school ever was for me.
