This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Casper Libero chapter.

Find here some things and facilities that college offers you, but not everybody knows!

Library

At the Cásper’s library you have an enormous collection of interesting books. There are books of Economy and even Astrology. These are just some of then, because you cand find everything there: Psychology, History, Communications… the space is really increadible and people would use it more if they knew how awesome it is. You can rent 4 books in a roll, but you need to give bak (or renew it) in 1 week. There’s also plenty of films (you can get 3 DVDs for 2 days), CDs (only 2 CDs for 3 days) and magazines (that you can read at the library but give it back by the end of the day) at Cásper’s Library.

Esquinas Magazine

If you love to write or taking pictures, be part of the semiannual magazine “Esquinas”. It’s a laboratorial  college’ s organ for the student body and a great portfolio, besides being a learning of writing and editing publication, printed and online. Anyone can participate and you just need to talk with one of the magazine’s organizers at the Núcleo Editorial (5th floor).

Edição Extra TV Show

This show is increadible, done by Journalism and Radio, TV and Internet students. You can be a cameragirl (if your major is Radio, TV and internet), a producer, a reporter or even a presenter of the program! You just need to appear at the monthly program meeting (they divulgate the date in the Facebook group “Colaboradores Edição Extra”) and suggest a theme/schedule or join the raffle. You will work on a real TV program!

Vem Comigo TV Show

Vem Comigo is another Gazeta TV journalism show, that you can subscribe to participate every year, passing through a selection process. Its’s an amazing opportunity that Cásper Líbero give us to show on TV.

Radio Gazeta AM

Did you know that, at Cásper, you can colaborate at a real radio studio since your first college day? If you like sports, hard news or films and games, for example, you can contact any of Cásper’s students that actually work in the radio studio (they stay at a room, turning left at the 4th floor, or inside the radio studio, that you can enter to explore as well, and it’s in the same floor) and say that you want to participate. They will show you a wide list of programs and you just need to show up and follow their instructions. After a while on doing radio, you can also create your own program.

Cameras

Once you are a 1st year Journalism student or have an authorization, you can have a professional camera from Cásper for one day. It’s an increadible thing to use something so big from where you can learn a lot. Other equipments like camcorders, recorders and microphones, you can have by talking and getting a permission from the professionals that work in the 4th floor.

Classes at labs

Want to learn how to use some softwares? At Cásper you can schedule classes about computer’s tools simply talking with some of the laboratories supervisors, in the 4th floor. You can learn how to use a lot of programs from big producers, really professional equipment!

Print a lot

Print all your college works, texts, and other personal things using a monthly provided by Cásper for the students. It costs R$0,30 for any page (black and white) or R$1,60 colored. If you want to print at A4 leaf, it costs 0,60 black and wihte or 3,20 colored. You have a  quota of R$9,00 for month, cumulative by the year (but it’s reseted every year).
