‘Tis the season for many artists to release their pieces of work for us all to listen to and talk about. No matter what kind of music you have blasting in your car, uploaded to your phone, or type of playlist on your Pandora there is a new album to listen, too. Summer concerts may be over but for Blake Shelton, Miley Cyrus, Drake, Krewella, and Katy Perry their releases are just beginning.
These artists might not have that much in common but they do all share the same time frame to release an album. So here is some music knowledge for all you gurus out there that are dying for some new jams.
- To start off the music download we have the country comedian himself, Blake Shelton. When he’s not turning around his chair during the popular show “The Voice”, he was busy this summer on tour debuting his music on 30 different stages around the country. While doing so he was able to release his new album called “Based on a True Story”. Fourteen tracks about this his life story including wife Miranda Lambert, the loss of his Father, and much more. So if you’re a country lover then this is the album to download and get to know Mr. Blake Shelton a little bit better.
- This next artist hasn’t had a problem with staying in the spot light after the controversial VMA’s performance and split from ex-beau Liam Hemsworth. Miley Cyrus took a completely different direction from where she used to be when playing the character Hannah Montana on Disney. Miley is now releasing her brand new album on October 8th called “Bangerz”. Two songs have already been released and received a tremendous amount of publicity, including the revealing “Wrecking Ball” music video. - Katy Perry is another artist that is always in the spot light with all her singles that make the top charts. Perry will be releasing her new album ”PRISM” on October 22nd. Only two names on the album have been released but there are still 14 more hits to come. From the looks of her first single on the album, “Roar”, these next songs seem to be very promising. - For those hip-hop and R&B fans, it’s not hard to guess what album has been highly anticipated. Fellow Canadian, Drake, has released his 15-track album, called “Nothing Was the Same” on September 24th. It’s been almost two years since we’ve been able to buy a new album from Drake but that time has ended. Special guests who make an appearance on the album include Jay-Z, Big Sean, and 2 Chainz.
- Krewella has been rising from the top ever since their number one hit “Alive” was introduced to the music world. After other popular hit songs like “Killin’ It” and “Live for the Night” were released, these two sisters have taken over this upbeat style of music. Their new album “Get Wet” was released September 24th and includes 14 new tracks including an acoustic set and featured guest Travis Barker.
