You might be a little disappointed if you never received your Hogwarts letter. However, there are many more similarities between going to college and going to Hogwarts than you may think. So when you start getting sad because you’d rather be at Hogwarts, just remember that you’re basically going to the muggle world version!

1. Getting your letter of acceptance was the best feeling in the world

2. Before every term you get a long list of books you have to buy

3. There are lots of places to explore on campus/in the castle

4. When it comes to your professors, there are Lupins, and then there are Snapes

5. Majors become like houses; it’s the people you have classes with and become best friends with

6. When you’re not in class, you get to visit the nearby town

7. Whether it’s football, basketball, or quidditch, the whole school comes together to cheer on the team

8. You make friends from other towns that you don’t get to see over the summer

9. While you’re home for the summer, you just can’t wait to get back to school

10. Someone is always going to try to control what happens at the school

11. Help really will be given to those who ask for it

12. Every year is sure to be an adventure
