Places to Volunteer This Month

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Butler chapter.

Tis the season to be giving and grateful! I volunteer year-round, but it always seems a little more fun and rewarding this time of year. Indianapolis is an amazing city, but it could definitely use some of your help. If you are able and willing I urge you to check one of these amazing places out and lend a hand this November!

1. Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana

Gleaners is an amazing food bank that gives aid to those who cannot feed themselves! You can volunteer here by donating food or assisting on-site!

2. Mozel Sanders

Mozel Sanders organizes a huge Thanksgiving Day dinner which takes a ton of volunteers! Drivers and people to help clean up are especially needed :)

3. Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels is one of the most popular and prominent organizations when it comes to feeding the hungry. On Thanksgiving Day it gets even better because instead of their normal food they deliver turkey and dressing!

There are a ton of more volunteer opportunities around Indy, but these are the three I have personally volunteered at. If you don’t want to volunteer at one of these three places, or if you want to see even more options check out this super helpful site (x) !
