5 Ways to Spread Christmas Cheer…In October?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Buffalo chapter.

If your woman crush Wednesday plays Christmas tunes in June, consistently wears her Buffalo Bills Christmas fuzzy socks, and will watch Elf any day of the year…its me, I’m your WCW.

Although everyone is busy planning their Halloween costumes, there are several of us counting down the days until Christmas is right around the corner ( 77 days to be exact). What is there not to love about Christmas? It’s the happiest time of the year after all, that is, after we get through all of our finals . Here are five ways to spread Christmas cheer (In October!), which may include singing loud for all to hear.

1. Handed the AUX? Refuse to play anything besides Mariah Carey’s Extra Festive Version of “All I Want For Christmas Is You” and sing your heart out every time

2. Forced to go out with your friends, even though you’re too busy picking out their Christmas presents? Go as a mean girl at the talent show! Still sexy and full of cheer!

3. Let your Christmas show by constantly quoting your favorite Christmas movies! You could even change your Tinder bio to let everyone know that you’re a cotton-headed ninny-muggins.

4. Instead of ending all your emails with the typical and boring “Best, ______”or “Sincerely, _______”, end them with “Merry Christmas, ________”. This is a great way to let everyone, including professors and potential employers, know you’re always in the Christmas spirit!

5. Work on eating healthy this upcoming holiday (pre)season by only sticking to the four most important food groups; candy, candy canes, candy corns, and syrup!

She currently works as a Nursing Assistant at Sister's of Charity Hospital as well as a front desk receptionist at a career office in UB. In her sparse free time you can find Marissa somewhere outside (when it's not 800 degrees out), catching up on her favorite youtuber's, writing poetry, or planning another trip somewhere far from Buffalo.
