If you are celebrating with a significant other DON’T wait till today to try and get a reservation for a restaurant. Pretty much any popular place will be packed today and there will probably be no more reservation spaces so you’ll have to wait. Planning ahead is always key for holidays.
If you have arranged plans for your valentine DO make sure everything is in order ahead of time. You don’t want to just assume everything is good to go and find out everything is in shambles last minute.

If you have single friends DON’T ask them what their valentines day plans are. They probably think you’re a fool for asking anyway.
If you’re single on valentines day DON’T be that person who’s miserable because of it. Make plans with your other single friends, not having a valentine isn’t the end of the world.
If you have plans to go out for valentines day DO plan ahead of time for doing your hair and picking out an outfit. You don’t want to be running late because you took too long to put an outfit together.

Finally, DO make sure you enjoy your Valentines Day! The day isn’t about the most expensive gifts and you don’t have to be in a relationship to celebrate either.
