The Hunger Games

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Buff State chapter.

If you are an avid reader of trilogies or a movie watcher who loves a good sequel you are probably familiar with the The Hunger Games series! The Hunger Games was created by Suzanne Collins and was first released in 2008. There are parts to The Hunger Games; The Hunger Games, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 1, and The Hunger Games Mockingjay part 2. The Hunger Games and Catching Fire are both on film already and as you’ve probably seen with all the media frenzy lately, Mockingjay part 1 is set to hit theaters November 21st!

If you saw The Hunger Games when it first hit theaters you know how insane the reaction was for the movie. Once Catching Fire was released the craze was not short in amount either. So it’s fair to say that Mockingjay part 1 will be just as amazing and have just as insane of a response as the first two films. As the lead character Katniss Everdeen, Jennifer Lawrence, has been captivating us with her phenomenal acting skills in all the Hunger Games films. With all the trailers for the movie it will be amazing to see what Lawrence has in store for us.

If you are a lover of the trilogy make sure you check out the film this week and read the book. Make it a group event with your friends before we head out for break in a week. It’ll be a nice fun time to relax from the midterm stress and the semester slowly finishing up.
