“Did you say it? I love you. I don’t ever want to live without you. You changed my life. Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it. But, every now and then, look around; drink it in, ’cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow.”

If you had any superpower what would it be?

Flying. I just want to travel the world.

Who is your biggest inspiration?

My biggest inspiration would have to be my aunt. She is very strong willed and has a strong mind. She has been an educator her whole life and people really respect and remember her, even once they have left high school and gone onto pursue their dreams.

What are some of the things you’ve done/organizations you are a part of on campus and what you’ve learned from them?

I am an Hermana of Sigma Lambda Upsilon. I feel that my organization has truly help mold me into someone who is more driven, more of a hard worker and someone who has something to really live up to as a representative of my organization. I always strive to be Sincere, Loyal and to keep Unity in my heart wherever I go and no matter who I meet.

Why did you come to Buffalo State?

I came to Buffalo State because it was the farthest school from Brooklyn that I got into. I love where I am from, but I needed a change of scenery, people and lifestyle. I came in undeclared and then decided to be an El Ed major which ended up being perfect because Buffalo State is known as the “teaching school”.

What is your best and worst experience while attending Buffalo State?

I would have to say that my best experiences here were the people I have met, connections I have made and relationships I have built. The people in college are people who want the same things as you, academically. They have bigger goals and more motivation to achieve them and that is such a good example and such a positive vibe. My worst experience would have to be seeing how many people who were once a huge part of my life, suddenly disappear. I have learned a lot of hard lessons, but I appreciate them

How would you describe your experience here at Buffalo State?

It has been a roller coaster, but it has been a fulfilling personal journey that I know I will always look back on in a positive light.

What do you hope to do when you graduate?

I hope to attend Buffalo State for Graduate School in Expecetional Education.

What’s your biggest motivation to continue on as a student here at Buffalo State?

To be a teacher and have a classroom of my own.

Any advice to females who go to Buffalo State?

Always protect yourself. Don’t get too drunk (men will take advantage). Know your worth.

I'm currently a student at Buffalo State College. My major is mathematics education 7-12 with a speech minor.
