Crazy Pizza Toppings You Have to Try

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

Spring is finally here, and suddenly it is easier to convince your floor mates to meander out of their dimly lit dorm rooms and out for some off campus eats. Channel your inner teenage mutant ninja turtle and get your pizza cutters spinning—it’s time for some za.

1. Mozzarella Stick Pizza

Yes, it exists, and no, you’re not in heaven. Head over to T-Anthony’s for some of that extra cheese!

2. Chipotle Chicken Pizza

Forget about that average margherita pizza. From the BBQ base to the spicy chipotle topping, your taste buds will be left begging for another slice. Check out your nearby Crazy Dough’s Pizza for this specialty.

3. Red Peanut Curry Pizza

Ever been looking at take out menus and you are just genuinely torn between Indian food and Italian? Look no further than Beantown Pizza. With your choice of chicken, beef, pork, or shrimp cooked in red peanut curry and basil, your prayers have been answered.

4. Mashed Potato Pizza

Is mashed potato pizza a carb? Whatever, I’m getting Otto’s.

5. Eggplant and Goat Cheese Pizza

This one goes out to the vegetarian ladies who just cannot seem to cut a break when it comes to pizza. Everyone’s first thought is always pepperoni this and bacon that. Well, take that sausage lovers—Picco Restaurant is here with a cruelty-free yet killer recipe.

6. Steak Pizza

There’s no “misteaking” it—this pizza will become your new favorite food group. Ecco Pizzeria is ready to ask you if you want your pizza well done.

7. Chili Pizza

Based in Mission Hill, The Penguin Pizza is not just a pizza place; it will become your second home. With a menu just for types of pizzas, it is difficult to pick just one. That being said, this chili pie made with authentic homemade chili, cheddar cheese, jalapenos, and even a fried tortilla, truly stands out.

Hope this article took a pizza your heart with it.
