The ABC’s of Boston: Duck Tours, Dining, and Dessert

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

Duck Tours
As spring approaches, everyone wants to get outside and explore Boston, and what better way to learn about Boston and see all the sites than on a Boston Duck Tour? While on the tour you will pass the State House, Boston Common, TD Garden, and Faneuil Hall, along with many other spots.  The tour even takes you into the Charles River for a unique and breathtaking view of the city.  Starting March 19th the full Duck Tour season begins, so hop on board the “Duck” boat before spring semester ends!

Ecco Pizzeria
Not far off of Boston University’s campus, Ecco Pizzeria is a relatively new addition to the Alls
ton area.  With a mission to create organic and natural pizza in an environmentally friendly atmosphere, Ecco Pizzeria is not your traditional pizza house.  Making pizzas on organic whole grain crust with organic herbal tomato sauce, Ecco Pizzeria surely is unique.  Ecco Pizzeria also offers a variety of ice cream and sorbet flavors.  With delicious food, reasonable prices, and its proximity to campus, Ecco Pizzeria should be your next stop for off-campus dining. \

Flour Bakery
There are three Flour Bakery establishments in Boston (Fort Point, South End, and Central Square).  Last week I went to the Central Square location in Cambridge.  I think I’ll be visiting Flour Bakery more often as it is a short walk over the Mass Ave. Bridge.  Known for its delicious pastries, Flour Bakery offers a variety of unique dessert items, from cookies and cakes to tarts.  With a motto of “Make life sweeter, eat dessert first,” who wouldn’t want to treat themselves to a pastry at Flour Bakery!
