Meeting your boyfriend’s parents is a super big (and nerve racking) deal. Meeting the family, during Thanksgving of all the holidays, is an even biger and nerve racking deal. Some of our HC Bryant staff will be lucky enough to be stuffing their face with the best pumpkin pies with boyfriends, but before we meet the family we need to figure out one important thing – What To Wear! If you’re going to be having Thanksgiving dinner with you boyfriend’s family, whether it’s the first time or not, HC Bryant has got you covered with three different outfits!

Dressy Dinner

Be sure to ask your boyfriend what people usually wear to Thanksgiving dinners at his house. If he’s wearing a pair of slacks and button downs that should tell you that Thanksgiving dinner is a dressy in his family. Pick a cute dress with a vibrant color. Don’t choose an eyebrow raising tight fitted skirt that outlines every curve in your body. The red dress above features a tulip shaped skirt and daisy cut outs and a high neckline that ensures that no cleavage is showing. This dress is cute and sophisticated. Your boyfriend will love you in the red and his family will love how cute you look in it! Either way it’s a win win.

Dress: Asos

Big Dinner

If your boyfriend’s family is like my family, Thanksgiving dinner is more like a dinner party including extended family members, family friends and music. Since you’ll be meeting the various family friends your outfit should be conservative but that does not mean you have to sacrifice your personal style. This white lace skirt paired an orange blouse and blue blazer will definitely make you stand out. The skirt is easy to move around in and the colorblocking of the top and blazer add vibrant color and ensures that you are stylish and trendy.

Skirt: H&M

Blazer: Forever 21

Blouse: Forever21

Casual Dinner

If your boyfriend’s family is like most families, Thanksgving dinner is most likely going to be a casual affair. Slip on flowy chiffon blouse in a color that compliments your skin tone. Pair your blouse with a pair of jeans and cute nude or black heels to uplift the casual outfit.

Blouse: Charlotte Russe

When you are in the presence of your boyfriend’s family remember you should always be dressed to impress, but not onverdressed. Take note of the kind of dinner you’re attending and if your personality can match your sophisticated and chic style, you’re going to be a winner among his family members and friends!

What would you wear to Thanksgiving dinner at your boyfriend’s house? Let us know!
