Photo of the Week

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Brandeis chapter.

At six-thirty a.m. on a Saturday morning, most of campus is fast asleep.  Unfortunately for me, I was awakened at this ungodly hour with a terrible cough.  Needless to say, my morning was not going so well.  However, I was able to witness a stunning sunrise over South Street.  My breath was taken away by the glowing pink scene before me.  There was something so magical about the way the clouds were painted in the air and the way pink gradually gave way to golden morning sunlight and blue skies.  As someone who never passes up the opportunity to sleep in as much as possible, I rarely ever wake up early enough to watch the day begin.  After this morning, I may be a convert.  I’m definitley not giving up sleeping in, but once in a while an early start may be worth it.

I am a double major in Anthropology and International/Global Studies with a minor in Creativity, the Arts, and Social Transformation at Brandeis University. As a native Southern Californian, I have a born passion for avocados and an innate dread of cold weather. In my free time I love cooking (with avocados of course), drawing and writing.
